HCL ME U2 runs on Android OS, 4.0

HCL released a new Andrid tablet called HCL ME U2 which is the latest edition of the ME series and has many promising features. HCL ME U2 has a multi-touch capacitive 7 inch touch screen that gives a resolution of 800 by 480 pixels and can be interacted through the multitouch technology. It runs on Android OS, 4.0 (Ice cream sandwich). It houses a dual-core 1 GHz cortex A9 processor makes its application running very fast. It also has 0.3 MP VGA camera with 640X480 pixels and digital zoom, with video player helps capture the best moments.

The device has a 1 GB DDR3 RAM and 4GB internal memory along with a facility of a microSD card slot that makes sure that the user can expand the external memory up to 32GB thereby ensuring that the user can keep a large collection of data including music files, games, images and videos. It is available in White in colour.

It features Multi Format Music Player that allows the user to listen to all the popular tracks that the entertainment world has to offer. The video player lets the user watch and enjoy videos. There is also the 3.5mm Audio Jack, USB port and the HDMI port for attaching pendrives or any other device that supports the USB port compatibility.


For accessing web there is the Wi-Fi facility which gives access to web at a reasonable speed. The Internet back up is further backed up by an external 3G USB dongle. It also has the Google Play Store pre-installed. It is packed with 3100 mAh of battery. There are many apps preloaded in the handset and it is possible to download more from the Android market.
