Samsung ATIV SE is a powerful LTE device with a 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, a 2.3GHz quad-core CPU (presumably the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800), 2GB RAM, 16GB expandable storage memory, a pair of 13MP rear and 2MP front cameras with 1080p video recording.

The connectivity options include 3G HSDPA, Wi-Fi, DLNA, GPS with GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and micro USB 2.0. The hardware is powered by a 2600 mAh battery which is good enough to give you a decent talk time and long standby periods. 

Verdict

               In a category dominated by Nokia Lumia devices, this device tries to find a spot for itself. And in many ways, it betters the high end Lumia phones. Like you get a bigger display as compared to the Lumia 920, which is a good thing. The device looks great and would make a great buy if you need a simple to use premium device.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Slim-Slim and Stylish

Samsung has very quietly launched a new smartphone Called "Samsung Galaxy S3 Slim". The name is a bit misleading, considering that the specs of the S3 Slim are some way below the original Galaxy S3. Visit here for the Samsung Galaxy S3 Slim specifications.

Display and Design 

The Samsung Galaxy S3 Slim sports a TFT capacitive multi touchscreen with a qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution, 16M colors, a rich pixel density of 244 ppi and TouchWiz UI. The presence of sensors like proximity, accelerometer and compass provides a better viewing experience. As the name suggests, it is slimmer than its original version, the Samsung Galaxy S3. However, its thickness of 9.7mm is more than many other smartphones of the same size. It carries a weight of 139 grams only. 

Processor and OS 

The Samsung Galaxy S3 Slim has been configured with a 1.2GHz processor built on 4 cores and backed by a RAM of 1GB. It runs the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS. 

Camera and Storage 

Coming to the camera optics, the smartphone has a 5MP autofocus camera with a resolution of 2,592 x 1,944 pixels and inclusive of features like LED flash and geo-tagging. It also sports a VGA front facing shooter to support video calling. The on board storage capacity of 8GB present in Samsung Galaxy S3 Slim can be expanded up to 32GB courtesy a microSD slot. 

Battery and Connectivity 

Connectivity and networking features loaded in the Samsung Galaxy S3 Slim come in the form of dual SIM slots, 3G, GPS with AGPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP and EDR, GPRS with EDGE, Wi-Fi hotspot, standard 3.5 mm jack, micro-USB 2.0 port, computer sync and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. Verdict

The Samsung Galaxy S3 Slim flaunts a large and rich display to offer appreciable visibility but comes in a compact body so that you can hold it comfortably in one hand. It is equally powerful in terms of performance. It would have been better if the phone carried a better front camera in order to justify the high price completely.

Nokia Lumia 530 is a mid-range smartphone

The Nokia Lumia 530 is the third Windows 8 phone from Nokia. As mentioned, the Lumia 530 comes with Windows Phone 8 OS loaded in it. This phone is intended for the affordable market segment. This is a mid-range phone available for an affordable price. There is no word on the specifications of the Lumia 530 yet.

The Lumia 520 came with a 4-inch display with 480 x 800 pixel resolution. It was powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm dual-core processor. Release Date
