Karbonn A5I is a dual SIM phone

Karbonn recently unveiled its new tablet called Karbonn A5I in the Indian Market. Karbonn A5i SmartPhone comes with 3.5 inches touchscreen display, dual SIM support , the phone is powered by 1GHz Processor and runs on Android v2.3(Gingerbread) OS. Camera and Memory:

The phone operates at frequencies of Dual-band GSM 900/ 1800 MHz. There is only one primary camera of 3MP with digital zoom and video recording capabilities. The lack of a secondary camera might put off a few buyers as the handset is 3G capable so video calling won't be possible. This Smartphone does not have a huge memory on-board and comes with mere 512MB storage. It has a microSD expansion port for upto 32GB memory support.

Connectivity and other features:

The phone is dual SIM capable of both GSM and WCDMA capabilities which makes it highly convenient to use any SIM card in multiple bandwidths. Connectivity wise it satisfies with all the basic needs such as Bluetooth v3.0, GPS, Wi-Fi, USB, etc. The battery is of 1420mAH which should give about 7-8 hrs of calling on 3G.

Verdict: Karbonn is trying hard to get youngsters to use their budget smartphones and with the new launch of the Smart A5i, it tries to cement its place. At first glance the phone looks off.
