Gionee Elife E7 mini features 4.7 inches screen

Gionee recently announced the Elife E7, now specs for the Elife E7 mini surface. This smartphone is the size variant of the Elife E7 and comes with a 4.7-inch HD display. The Gionee Elife E7 mini sports a large 4.7 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. Under this huge display, lies an even massive 1.7 GHz Octa core processor with a Mali-450 GPU which is amplified by 1GB of RAM. The processor is arguably one of the best in the market and hence no matter what you throw at it, the phone should be capable of handling it.

The primary camera has a 13MP sensor and Gionee has done away with the secondary to save space on the Mini version of its flagship phone. The internal memory is limited to 16GB and sadly this is non expandable, so the user is stuck with about 13 GB of usable memory.

This dual SIM phone has 3G support for both its SIM cards and all the standard features that one expects in modern day smartphones such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0, etc. It connects to high speed mobile broadband using 3G and slower data connection using 2G, Edge and GPRS. Other connectivity features on board include Bluetooth for wireless data transfer and media connectivity along with micro USB port for PC connectivity. All this is fuelled by a 2100 mAH Li-Ion battery.

Verdict: There was a time when mini actually meant small, but the Gionee Elife E7 mini pushes that boundary with a massive 4.7 inch display and Octa core processors. Certainly an excellent phone for the price, although it might be advisable to look at the flagship before making a decision to purchase its mini version.
