 Design and Looks

After the failure of BADA OS, Samsung is coming with another heavily customised OS, namely Tizen OS. Samsung ZEQ 9000 is the first ever smartphone from Samsung which run on the latest Tizen OS v2.2. ZEQ 9000 has 4.8 inches capacitive touchscreen with 1280 x 720 pixels HD resolution and pixel density of ~306 ppi. The screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone comes in Pebble Blue and Marble White colors.

Hardware and Software

 Samsung ZEQ 9000 runs on the latest hardware and software. The phone runs on Snapdragon 800 Quad-core processor with 2.3GHz clock speed along with 2GB of RAM. This combination can ensure better performance. The Operating System is the latest Tizen OS v2.2 which is a heavily customised version of Android. Expectations are high on this new OS. The Chipset is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 and the GPU is Adreno 330 for better graphics support.

Camera, Music and Multimedia

 Samsung ZEQ 9000 comes with 8 MP rear camera and 1.2 MP front camera for video chatting. The Rear and Front camera can record Full HD videos at 1080p@30fps. The device can play media formats like MP3, WAV, WMA, eAAC+ (audio) and MP4, H.264, H.263, WMV (video).

Internal and External Storage

Samsung ZEQ 9000 is provided with 16GB built-in storage and 64GB expandable microSD slot for external storage.

Connectivity Options

Samsung ZEQ 9000 can connect via Tri band 2G and Dual band 3G. This phone also supports 4G. The 3G data connectivity is via HSDPa and HSUPA. 4G data transfer is via LTE. Other Connectivity options like Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, microUSB v2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Hotspot are available in the phone. The device has in-built NFC and A-GPS with GLONASS Support.
